PARC - 2013 Pan American Championships - Pool play completed

The pool play part of the 2013 Pan American Championships in Cali, Colombia ended on Monday and there were some results of note. Perhaps the biggest one is Carlos Keller of Bolivia defeating American Jansen Allen, 8-15, 15-8, 11-5.

In men's singles action, Joaquin Solera of Costa Rica came back from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Colombian Francisco Gomez, 5-15, 15-12, 11-10. Also, Honduran Raul Banegas narrowly beat Francisco Troncoso of Chile, 15-14, 15-14.

Felipe Camacho Martin of Costa Rica defeated Cesar Castillo of Venezuela, 15-13, 13-15, 11-7, and veteran Luis Perez of the Dominican Republic had a bounce back win, as he defeated Colombian Sebastian Franco, 15-11, 15-7.

In two women's doubles matches of note, Jenny Daza and Maria Riveros of Bolivia knocked off Americans Rhonda Rajsich and Sharon Jackson, 6-15, 15-13, 11-7, and Costa Ricans Sauma Masis and Soly Saborio beat Rodriguez and Martinez of Guatemala, 15-14, 15-14.

Finally, in men's doubles Cesar Castro and Cesar Castillo of Venezuela got another win, as they beat Kadim Carrasco and Ricardo Monroy of Bolivia, 15-7, 15-12.

The elimination round begins Wednesday. Matches are being streamed live via the International Racquetball Federation (IRF) website.
