LPRT - 2013 USAR Ektelon Nationals - Rounds of 32 & 16

Seven of the top eight seeds in the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) draw at the USA Racquetball (USAR) Ektelon Nationals in Fullerton, California are through to the quarter-finals. The exception is 6th seed Adrienne Fisher Hayes, who lost to Maria Jose Vargas in four games, 11-1, 11-1, 6-11, 11-4, to conclude what's been a mixed year for Fisher Hayes.

She's had some good results - a final in Seattle and a semi-final in Kansas, not to mention getting married - but she didn't make it past the 16s in seven of the eleven events this season. Fisher Hayes will certainly want to improve on that next season.

For Vargas, it's her fourth quarter-final of the season, and she was also a semi-finalist once, so it's definitely been a break through season for her, although she didn't play all of the events. Vargas - the 2012 Girls U18 Junior World Champion - definitely has the potential to be a top 10 LPRT player.

Paola Longoria, the LPRT #1 player, surprisingly needed four games to defeat Maria Paz Muñoz and get to the quarters, winning 11-6, 10-12, 11-1, 11-6.

In the quarters, Longoria will face Cristina Amaya, who was a winner over veteran Kerri Wachtel by injury default.

The quarter final matches will be live streamed over the web via the LPRT Network. Match times are below. Note - all times are Pacific.
