Andree Parrilla won the Men's Open division at the 2014 Pro Kennex Tournament of Champions in Portland, Oregon on the weekend. He defeated Jake Birnel in the final, 15-11, 7-15, 11-8.
In the semi-finals, Parrilla defeated Wayne Antone IV, 15-6, 15-6 and Birnel took out Jeremy White, 15-3, 7-15, 11-7.
In the Men's Open Doubles division, Chad & Chadd carried the day, as Chad Cherry and Chadd Westwood defeated Birnel and Mauro Rojas in the final, 10-15, 15-15 [sic], 11-3. In the semi-finals, Cherry and Westwood beat Connor Laffey and Antone IV, 15-3, 15-5 while Birnel and Rojas defeated Parrilla and Dean Bear, 15-10, 14-15, 11-3.
In Herndon, Virginia, Sofia Rascon won the Women's Open division by defeating Sheryl Lotts in the final, 15-3, 15-7. Rascon, the top seed, beat Maria Renee Rodriguez in the semi-finals, 11-15, 15-6, 11-9, while Lotts defeated Hailey Miller, 15-11, 15-8. Miller had upset Da'monique Davis in the 2nd seed quarterfinals, 15-11, 4-15, 11-10.
