Longoria hosts & wins in Monterrey

Paola Longoria invited the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) to Monterrey for the Paola Longoria Invitational, but was perhaps an imperfect host, as she won both singles and doubles on Sunday, and did so in straight games.

In singles, Longoria defeated Rhonda Rajsich, 11-4, 11-9, 11-5, and in doing may have started another winning streak. Longoria won every women's pro tournament she entered between May 2011 and October, when she lost to Rajsich.

In doubles, Longoria and Samantha Salas defeated Maria Paz Muñoz and Veronica Sotomayor, 15-10, 15-14, in the final. Longoria and Salas had a walkover win in the semi-finals against Michelle Key and Frédérique Lambert, while Muñoz and Sotomayor beat Rajsich and Maria Jose Vargas, 15-12, 4-15, 11-6.

The LPRT will be in action again this coming weekend with the Christmas Classic in Arlington, Virginia.
