In the singles final, Parrilla and Montoya were close all the way in game one, and lead did go back and forth. Montoya was ahead 11-10, and 12-11, but Parrilla managed to hold him at 12, while scoring four points to take game one, 15-12.

In game two, Parrilla was in control all the way, as he got up 10-3 and 14-5. Montoya kept battling, and got to 14-9. Then Parrilla got a sideout, hit a lob serve to the right side that Montoya returned with a splat forehand shot to the front right corner, and Parrilla rekilled that with a backhand shot.
